Firstly, check If the Transport Mode Is the Bottleneck
Storware often relies on the hypervisor/API transport when backing up some platforms.
If your Verge platform supports hot-add, NBD, or direct datastore access, confirm which method it’s using.
NBD mode especially is known to cap out around 15–40 Mbps in many environments.
